Job Description:
Germanna Community College, one of the fastest growing community colleges in Virginia, is seeking a qualified candidate for coordinating and implementing a Pharmacy career studies certificate program which meets the criteria of the Virginia Board of Pharmacy. Designed to prepare students to assist and support licensed pharmacists in providing health care and medications to patients.
Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of Virginia Board of Pharmacy regulations for operating a Board of Pharmacy technician training program. Knowledge of pharmacy technician training curriculum, program goals and objectives, assessment and evaluation methods. Ability to identify and recommend instructional technology and equipment to support the curriculum. Development of student recruitment strategies and advising materials. Identify agencies for contractual agreements for clinical practicum learning sites. Set up simulated laboratory learning environment. LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS: Either a pharmacist with a current Virginia unrestricted license or a pharmacy technician with at least one year of experience performing technician tasks who holds a current Virginia unrestricted registration or a current PTCB certification Background check and official transcripts will be required prior to final offer.
